Further procedure
We kindly ask you to read the FAQ carefully before preparing your application. To complete the submission, please send the following documents compiled as a single pdf file to research@samw.ch:
- Cover letter (max. 1.5 pages, optional)
- Personal and institutional information of all applicants, employees and project partners
- Project summary (max. 1 page) with background, aims, design and methods
- Research plan (max. 15 pages – respectively 17 pages for a collaborative project with at least two applicants active at different research institutions – including tables and figures, excluding bibliographic references. Min. font size 10 and line spacing 1.5), with:
- Current state of research
- Current state of your own research in the field
- Detailed research plan with hypotheses, aims, planned investigations/experiments, detailed methodology, involvement of relevant migrant groups, potential pitfalls
- Role of each member of the research team in the project (incl. applicants, employees and project partners). Please explain why the expertise and scientific contribution of each applicant and project partner is necessary, and why the collaboration is essential to achieve the project aims.
- Relevance and expected impact of the proposed research
- Milestones and timetable
- Detailed budget (in annual instalments, please use the provided template)
- CV of each applicant (max. 3 pages per applicant), with relevant publications on the research topic and link to the applicant’s ORCID profile
- Support letters (optional)
- Copy of ethics committee’s decision and other authorisations (if applicable)
- Copy of confirmation of other funding bodies (if applicable)
Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
