Scientific Integrity
«Scientific integrity» is a central aspect of the activities of the Swiss Academies of Sciences. Already in 2002 the SAMS issued medical-ethical guidelines for scientific integrity in medical and biomedical research and for the procedure in cases of inappropriate scientific activity. In 2006 the Swiss Academies of Sciences appointed a committee, «Scientific Integrity», which follows the national and international developments and which comments on fundamental questions of scientific integrity. This committee advises research institutions, institutions for the promotion of research and political instances on fundamental questions.
